After Peel Pub sank beneath the waves, me and my buddies had to find a new pub to enjoy. We tried a lot of places out downtown until we found this one. Scotland Yard is pretty awesome. It isn't pretentious or overpriced. It has solid, good pub food and pretty much everything you want to wash it down with. A great place to load up your stomach before a night of partying and dancing. The style is Olde English, but the menu has a good mix of Canadian food too. Chairs and Tables are old world but they are in good shape. Lack of parking is a problem, so if you are on foot this is a much better option. Also, waitresses do have a habit of disappearing, largely because the bar is U-shaped, but my cup has never truly run dry. They take pretty good care of there customers, and I always feel like I get my money's worth. The place can get a little bit rowdy with the mix of locals and tourists, but I've never felt disturbed by the clientale. A pretty fun pub. Get your eats and start your crawl. Read more

I was in Shakey's a year ago and it has completely changed, I visited recently with some girlfriends and we had a fantastic meal. The owner has renovated the entire place to give it a 2010 pub look and has still kept the theme of a sports bar. Good job on the reno's, the menu looks great with some of the typical sports pub food such as nachos, hamburgers and wings. However the rest of the menu is quite amazing, from my understanding the waitress mentioned that Chris is a new addition to the staff and is the brother of the owner. He actually is coming from fine dining and is now helping run the kitchen. I will be back again and this time were bringing our husbands. Read more

Excellent and cozy restaurant in Little Italy in Toronto. The restaurant has a cute outdoor patio and fireplace. The staff was great, they kept checking up on us, gave us a complimentary dessert due to noise level that didnt bother us at all. The appetizers were delicious and the mushroom risotto with truffle oil was mouthwatering. The stuffed ravioli with butternut squash and pecans was rich and perfect. I enjoy food and drinks at Arriba Lounge a number of times throughout the Blue Jays season. We are always pleased with the service and the food.
