How much do I like this restaurant? My wife and I had our post-wedding celebration here with about 20 of our closest friends and family. We knew this would be a great choise as we wanted a restaurant that wasn't overly expensive, had a great staff and of course a great menu. And Zefferelli's has all of the above. Besides the complimentary bread and tomato dipping sauce, my favorite aspect of this restaurant is the food preparation. A lot of italian restaurants simply boil the pasta and then add the sauce. Zefferelli's actually uses a wok to fry the pasta after it has been boiled to give it a better texture and taste. It doesn't sound like much but it really helps. And for a restaurant that is as well kept and in such a prime location (Robson Street) it is extremely affordable. It's a great place to take a date or to take your picky out-of-town guests. We hoped by coming in on a Sunday it would be less of a wait. We were fortunate to get seated at 6pm as whenever we drive past there is always a lineup. Street parking is available. We tried their caprese to start, their daily pasta which was a red pepper cream penne & their prosciutto e Rucola pizza. They serve neopolitan style pizza w/ a nicely salted chewy crust. I absolutely love this place. The food is quite good, the portion sizes are generous, the prices are right, and the service is always friendly. Speaking of portion sizes, I love their appetizers. They have some small appetizers which are priced relatively low which is wonderful. I don't want to spend 75% the cost of a meal for an appetizer so large that I'm not hungry for dinner any longer. Wish more places would offer appetizer portions like Amarosa. There is a wide selection available so you'd be hard pressed to find something you don't like. I'll be back. Read more
