I just had to come home from my great dinner tonight in Bayfield and share my fantastic experience at this hidden gem called Davincis. Apparently this used to be a Cafe but the Owners have expanded their menu and now serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had no idea they were fully licensed!! The dinner we had tonight in the Garden Patio was by far the best I've had in Bayfield. I enjoyed a beautiful poached salmon with a lemon dill sauce, my partner had a huge lamb shank and our friends had the ribs from the Friday BBQ Menu. They boasted that they were fall off the bone ribs. We all were very pleased with our dinners and topped it off by sharing the delicious strawberry rhubarb pie and carrot cake. I look forward to my next visit to Bayfield just so I can return to this great place again!!! Read more

Food was amazing, had the blackened trout and it was delicious. The prices are reasonable and even more so considering the quality. Staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is suitable to be well dressed, however, we visited on return from a camping trip Tobermory and received not a single awkward look. I stopped into Boston Pizza on a Thursday night drawn in by their board out front advertising $0.50 wings in the bar. Unlike most wing-deals these wings were very meaty and a good size. Everyone in my group was also very impressed with the service and couldn't help but notice how good looking, lively and knowledgable the staff was. Compared to the BP's that I'm used to going to in the city, this small town restaurant was VERY impressive. The staff does a good job promoting the different food/drink specials that are going on every day of the week (wings tuesday and thursday and cheap domestic beer monday night etc.). Read more

Heard about a nice little Italian restaurant in Collingwood and so we decided to go for a birthday celebration. I can definitely tell you we were not dissapointed with the food or service in any way. Everyone thought the food was outstanding and we all had different meals. I wouldn't recommend one in specific because they were all so good (snuck some food from others plates just to see if everyone else's was as good as mine). Even with a fairly small menu you should be able to find something everyone likes. The only dissapointments I had is that pizza was not an option and you MUST get their first if you expect parking and even that is risky. Overall I give it a 5/5 becuase lets be honest the reason you go to a restaurant is for the food not for the parking. Read more

First and foremost we truly enjoyed our meal here. The complimentary bruschetta was a nice treat. Our server seemed a litte "put out" that we had one young child with us who was trying to figure out what she wanted as there is definitely no children's menu here, but once she decided on something we were AOK. I did call ahead to make sure they could accomodate children and they said no problem. The half portion of pasta she had was more than enough, and the chef was very accomodating. My 13 year old had the fettucini Alfredo which she orders all the time and she said it was exceptional. There was enought leftovers for her to 2 more servings at home! My husband and I had appetizers which were exceptional and we both enjoyed our meals. We also shared a half litre of wine. The chef brought some of our dishes and he was very friendly and attentive. My husband always enjoys this as he is a trained chef as well. What I noticed was that his chef whites were gleeming! This is a nice touch, as I have had chefs come to the table with dingy whites, or in one instance, looked like he had just butchered something! Overall, we will go back. We visited we a friend who lives in town and is regular. He did make reservations for 7:45 so we would miss the evening theater crowd. Great pick your toppings thin crust pizza (there is a checklist on the table for each pizza), about medium sized .A decent size bowl of spaghetti and meat balls. My wife loved her linguine. My mother and I have for years now enjoyed returning to Trattoria Fabrizio every summer during our annual visit of the Stratford Festival. We love the company and food so much so that we often eat all of our meals there. I am sad to hear that it may be closing. When you enter the restaurant you see a beautiful image! To your right is the gelato counter, all around you are little tables often populated with happy returning customers and a few feet ahead is desert counter covered with cookies, biscotti and more.. Which is dirrectly beside the cake fridge. With all of these beautiful treats now in mind you are hit by the aroma of their beautiful tomato sauce which is a staple of their food. At our first visit I was very surprised how welcoming and amicable both Teresa and Sabatino were, they greeted us like friends even then. And since we have been greeted like family. When you are first seated you are served home-made breads to dip in olive oil and balsamic vinigar. The caprese salad is simple and beautiful with a fresh taste, I find it a nice way to ease in to a heartier pasta meal. The canneloni is topped generously with their tomato sauce and filled with a very moist, creamy and flavourful cheese filling. Then once you feel that you have eaten your rations for the next couple of days (in a good way!) you are welcomed to visit the desert counters or chose some gelato. I almost always go for pistachio gelato and chocolate gelato. The combination is refreshing! In such a great area with shops around, and the theatre nearby going to Trattoria Fabrizio is never a task, I always just find myself there! With amazing servers and owners, delicious food and a good atmosphere my only minor complaint is that air conditioning could be beneficial in the hotter months. (Though the fans tend to do the trick, on a over-hot day it's not always very comfortable..) But even then I can barely say that is a complaint- just an excuse to help myself to some of the gelato they make every day! P.S. My brother bought the first cookbook and we have made several of the recipes, it is a must have book!! Read more

Im usually giving very positive reviews but for this place i have to make a bit of an exception. Don't get me wrong, i got the arabiata pasta and it was great! However, while my wife and i were eating our meal we had to endure the chef freaking out in the kitchen (maybe an open kitchen isnt a good idea for this type of person). I thought he was just having a bad day, but ive been here a few times and every time on a friday or saturday night the chef although nice to the customers seems a little frustrated in the kitchen, including towards the servers. I also found that i was rushed by the kitchen staff. Before i even finished my appetizer, here comes my main course..Needless to say i think if i get anything from here again i will order take out. I recommend any of the pastas, my wife had muscles and said they were "okay" and said for someone who "specializes in seafood" she expected better quality. Read more

The new owners have added a few new dishes to the menu and I have to say, the service is friendlier than it used to be under the previous owners.
