The service was excellent. Servers were polite. We didn’t have reservations, and the pub was crowded but they managed to give us a table. That’s how well they treat the customers. Food was good and the community band was very good . We danced away the night through early morning .

Incredible service 100%. The sticky toffee pudding is TO DIE FOR. Their mussles are so good that my 10yo orders them every time we were there. Yeah, that’s right, a 10yo. The same kid who won’t even look at a pizza if it has touched pizza sauce.
During COVID, the service standard has been consistently amazing. Even with all the obstacles the food is so delicious, and now THEY DELIVER, which is so much better than pizza every night.

Went in on a Monday afternoon had their special 'Panko Fried Bass w/ fries, gravy & Coleslaw' SO good! I prefer to come here in the afternoon when it is a bit more quiet or get take out in the evening as this place start hoppin in the evenings. I have been to Jack Astor's only a few times, and both times the service was great! The atmosphere was also great, very fun, and exciting. You get crayons to colour on the tables and there are funny quotes around the restaurant. My only problem is that when I ordered my food which was a very simple order, it was wrong. My caesar salad had carrots in it and no croutons! Although the food is great and mistakes are made, it is just inconvenient. Aside from the mistakes, it is a great place to go to just hang out with friends, and have a drink or 2. The servers and waitresses are very kind, and they are always on top of everything. The restaurant is also never a mess, I never seen anything even left on the tables when another customer leaves, they are on top of it all right away which is really good.

I know Magweyers Restaurant in the Baywood Plaza in Ajax is superb. The food is so delightfully fresh and flavours that to h your pallet so gracefully. My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal. The food was fast to arrive, fresh, and tasted delicious the light the entire dish, I highly recommend eating here on any visit to tobermory, and I hope you get the same server as us his name was James :)

So, good. The food was delicious, though not gastro-pubby, but rather pub grub. It could use new carpeting throughout. The stand out for us was the service. Our server was helpful, knew the menu inside out, and when we asked for some changes to make one of the meals heart healthy they went out of their way to make it happen. We were seated in a quiet corner...easier for my Dad that he didn't have to climb up a step...but there was loud laughter coming from around the corner. Everyone seemed to be greeted by name at the door. Our server was a nice young girl, but everyone paid attention to us, helping to deliver the meal, checking on how we liked our meals. I worked all through college as a waitress, and I am kind of picky about service attitude, and this was wonderful.

Historic building that is supposedly haunted, real pub feel, good vibe, friendly servers. Has a large and really cool cobble stone court yard patio that feels like you're sitting in the 1800's.
I don't eat here alot but the food is good, wings, nachos and standard pub fare.
The owners Marco and Angelo are class acts and always take the time to personally welcome regular customers back.
Its kinda like Cheers because they always know your name and they are always glad you came.
It gets pretty hopping at night and is a good spot for single guys and gals if you know what I mean ;)

Service was great - waitress was fun and checked on us every so often to see how we were doing.
Food? Delicious! My burger was great, and the rest of my family thought good of the restaurant as well.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The old-fashioned chalkboard written deals and combos scattered across the restaurant felt like good-old home.
I tell you all, this is my new FAVORITE place to eat. I had a bite of chicken fingers, too -- HeAvEnLy!
If you decide to dine here, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it!
Let me tell you something, I don't hand out 5 stars like candy, but this place really deserves it. Well done, Gabby's!
